Why do I have my photos at Pixmac?

Many of you were asking us this question. The answer is simple and clear. Pixmac is not just selling photos from its own collection, but also reselling pictures from our business partner so everybody gets a piece of the cake.
People at Pixmac want to have the site great (What a surprise!). But that is not enough for us. So we made the deal with Fotolia, and we think that is just as great for Pixmac customers as for photographers. Everybody gets more!
If you are photographer, every picture of this kind sold on Pixmac is listed in your user section on Fotolia. And you get the revenue the same as when the picture is not sold via Pixmac.
So we hope this is an added value to you. Although we are improving the Pixmac site every day to make it the fastest, easiest and well known, we need a lot of support from you, our users. Especially if you love anything at Pixmac, or you hate something – let us know via contacts or just by typing your thoughts to comments below.

Thanks for the clarification, however I have another question as Fotolia contributor : do all my pictures will appear in Pixmac ?

Actually, we are not synchronizing free photos. And also Exclusive pictures should be found just at Fotolia.

so, if i have a portfolio at Fotolia, i simply select extended license, and my port will be with Pixmac,
and any sales at Pixmac will reflect in my Fotolia account, right?
and the images on Pixmac will have my username attached in Pixmac, right?

To Fotokmyst: I am not sure that “Extended license” is the right option to allow Fotolia to put your pictures to Pixmac. There should be something like “Allow API transfer” or something like that in their IS.
The sales at Pixmac will be present in your account at Fotolia as usual sales without us.
Last thing is that you should already see your name attached to your Pictures here at Pixmac.

Sorry, I was wrong in one thing. As I discussed the “Exclusive pictures” more. And I found that FT is allowing us to sell their Exclusive pics. So it is not violation when they’re on Pixmac. If anybody of you have a problem with this, please send me an email or comment it here and I will look deeper in it with guys from FT.
